چکیده

We present three new voting schemes for multi-classifier biometric authentication using a reliability model to influence the importance of each base classifier’s vote. The reliability model is a metaclassifier computing the probability of a correct decision for the base classifiers. It uses two features which do not depend directly on the underlying physical signal properties, verification score and difference between user-specific and user-independent decision threshold. It is shown on two signature databases and two speaker databases that this reliability classification can systematically reduce the number of errors compared to the base classifier. Fusion experiments on the signature databases show that all three voting methods (rigged majority voting, weighted rigged majority voting, and selective rigged majority voting) perform significantly better than majority voting, and that given sufficient training data, they also perform significantly better than the best classifier in the ensemble.

Fingerprint-face Feature Matching Using Multi-modality System by Agglomerative Multi-clustering

The biometric authentication is an effective alternative for traditional authentication techniques. Because biometric data cannot be easily restored or revoked, it is significant that biometric templates used in biometric applications must be built and stored in a secure way, such that attackers could not be able to falsify biometric data easily even when the templates are negotiated. Researche...

Score Fusing In a Multimodal System

Biometrics consists of techniques for identifying persons based upon one or more intrinsic physical or behavioral traits. A system which is based only on a single biometric identifier in making a personal identification is often not able to meet the desired performance requirements. Multimodal biometrics is an emerging field of biometric technology, where more than one biometric trait to improv...

A Study on the Iris Biometric Authentication

This paper presents a methodology for quantitatively establishing the discriminative power of iris biometric data. It is difficult, however, to establish that any biometric modality is capable of distinguishing every person because the classification task has an extremely large and unspecified number of classes. The purpose of this study is to investigate various combinations of features, dista...

Fusion of face and speech data for person identity verification

Biometric person identity authentication is gaining more and more attention. The authentication task performed by an expert is a binary classification problem: reject or accept identity claim. Combining experts, each based on a different modality (speech, face, fingerprint, etc.), increases the performance and robustness of identity authentication systems. In this context, a key issue is the fu...

E-Voting security system through Biometric Cloud Computing Integration with virtual server application

Today, biometric cloud security creates a new explosion in technology. With the advent of Cloud Computing biometric security and reliability plays important role in national and international e-governments. In e-voting system, if we incorporated cloud based computing through biometrics then it will create more authentication, transparency and security in voting system. To operate e-voting manag...
